Bradie Lee

I'm deeply trained in ecological thinking, and I'm building ways to integrate AI into my personal ecosystem.

Artist, designer & builder. I make complex systems visible, from codebases to supply chains.

Why I build

I have a PhD in plant biology from UC Berkeley, where I studied how microbes shape soil and plant health. Soil is the foundation everything grows from, and most of the things we buy quietly draw from it.

My goal is to make it easier for people to choose regenerative products, by making supply chains visible: where your shampoo, your food and your furniture actually come from, and what they cost the ground.

How I build

I design and direct; Claude writes most of the code. In three and a half months that partnership produced a full personal knowledge system: 625 commits, ~200,000 lines of Python and TypeScript, 24 automated jobs, and a suite of visualization tools I use to understand it all as it grows.

I care about the shape of things: how a tool feels, what it makes visible, and what it quietly hides.

The Terrain map: every file in the system as a dot, lit by how recently it was worked on.

Terrain

A living map of a codebase.

I'm a very shape-rotatey person: I understand things by seeing their structure. While building a large personal system with AI, I needed to see what was happening inside it. So I made Terrain. Every file is a dot, glowing where work just happened, with AI sessions orbiting the files they touch.
